Our Commitment to Accessibility
At StageCraft Academy, we firmly believe that everyone should have equal access to information and services online. Our commitment to accessibility is woven into the fabric of our website development and content creation processes. We are dedicated to making our website as inclusive as possible, providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for all users, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. This includes individuals using assistive technologies, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software.
We understand that accessibility is an ongoing journey, not a destination. As such, we are constantly learning, adapting, and implementing new strategies to improve the accessibility of our website. We value feedback from our users and actively encourage you to contact us if you encounter any accessibility barriers while visiting our site. Your input is essential in helping us identify areas for improvement and ensure that our website remains accessible to everyone.

Accessibility Features
StageCraft Academy has implemented the following features to enhance accessibility:
- Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML5 elements to structure our content, making it easier for assistive technologies to understand and navigate the website. This includes using appropriate headings, lists, and landmarks.
- Alternative Text: All images and non-text content have descriptive alternative text (alt text) that accurately conveys the content and function of the image. This allows screen reader users to understand the purpose of the image.
- Keyboard Navigation: Our website is fully navigable using a keyboard, allowing users who cannot use a mouse to access all content and functionality.
- Color Contrast: We have carefully selected color combinations to ensure sufficient contrast between text and background, making it easier for users with low vision or color blindness to read the content.
- Resizable Text: Users can easily resize the text on our website without losing content or functionality. Most browsers offer built-in text resizing options.
- Clear and Consistent Navigation: Our website has a clear and consistent navigation structure, making it easy for users to find the information they need.
- Forms Accessibility: All form elements are properly labeled and structured to ensure they are accessible to users with disabilities. Error messages are clear and informative.
- Video Captions and Transcripts: All videos include captions and transcripts to make them accessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- ARIA Attributes: We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to provide additional information to assistive technologies, enhancing the accessibility of interactive elements.
- Skip Navigation Link: A "skip to main content" link is provided at the top of each page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation menu and go directly to the main content.
- Dark Mode Support: Users can toggle between light and dark modes to suit their visual preferences.
Further Enhancements in Progress
We are currently working on the following accessibility enhancements:
- Reviewing and updating all existing content to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.
- Conducting regular accessibility audits using both automated tools and manual testing.
- Providing accessibility training to our content creators and developers.
- Improving the accessibility of our online course materials and interactive elements.
Conformance Status
The StageCraft Academy website strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Current Status: Partially conformant
We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website, and we are committed to achieving full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. However, some content may not yet fully conform to these guidelines.
Accessibility Audits and Testing
We conduct regular accessibility audits using a combination of automated tools and manual testing. Our audits are performed by experienced accessibility professionals who are knowledgeable in WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies. We also involve users with disabilities in our testing process to gain valuable feedback and insights.
